Our Egyptian Summer Spice blend adds a next level flavour to your beef shank. Combine that with the amazingness of the Instant pot and you have something super delicious, quick and easy. (Even better when you know the farmers that have raised that beef shank!)
- 1 big beef shank
- 1/4 cup Egyptian Summer
- Olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 head of garlic, separated
- 4 cups beef stock
- Zest strips from 1 lemon
- Bay leaf
- Worcestershire sauce
Coat the beef shank with the Egyptian Summer spice blend.
Heat the Instant Pot on saute and add a glug of olive oil.
Once hot, sear the beef shank until browned on both sides.
Add the rest of ingredients to the instant pot, cover and seal. Select manual and heat on high pressure for 45 minutes.
Allow for natural release and serve.
We enjoyed with rice and a green salad. We also took out those yummy soft garlics and had them on the side!
