Maple Mustard Hamonizer
1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
1 small sweet potato (6 oz), cut into small chunks
2 tbsp Big Cove Foods ‘Maple Mustard Hamonizer’ spice blend
¼ cup olive oil
1 onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, chopped
4 cups broth
4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
1 bay leaf
1 tsp salt
Cream
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and toss together the cauliflower, sweet potato, ‘Maple Mustard Hamonizer’ spice blend and olive oil. Roast 25-30 minutes, or until browned and softened.
In a large dutch oven or pot with lid, heat 2 tbsp of the butter on medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until softened, add the garlic to the onions and cook for another minute.
Add the roasted cauliflower and sweet potato to the pot and stir together until evenly coated. Pour in the broth and add your bay leaf. Bring to a boil and then reduce temperature to a simmer and cover. Cook for 20 minutes.
Remove bay leaf and blend using a blender or immersion blender.
Off heat, add the remaining 2 tbsp of the butter to your soup and stir until melted. Add the salt. Taste and season with more salt if desired.
Finish with a splash of cream if you’d like!

My cousin and her husband came to visit me in Dominica West Indies. They brought along Egyptian summer and hot jerk spices from.Big Cove Foods!!! The taste sensation just blew my mind. I made a stirfry of chicken with vegetables using the Egyptian summer. The flavor was sensational. I used the hot jerk on some locally caught fresh mahi-mahi. It was absolutely extraordinary. I have a friend who’s coming to visit me in August and I’m hoping that she will be able to bring me a few of the others as well. I am hooked line and sinker. All the best with your business. These little boxes of spice varieties are great! I’m taking them to Ontario this week and will use them as the perfect little ‘hostess gifts’ I use Big Cove spices all the time. ‘Mary had a’ is my favourite. I use it on everything! (I don’t even like lamb so I definitely don’t just use it for that, lol!)
I repurchased this tasty blend when it was available again. I would say it's a medium heat so it's a nice option to have. We also enjoy the Ghost Taco blend but use it sparingly for that extra kick!

What I love about these spices is that they may come individually packaged, but I still turn on a bit more wild, by mixing one package with another. Have you tried Taco Enhancer with Red Rub? Amazing
