Apple pie's are delicious. Hands down, the very definition of pie. So we love trying to come up with new ways to reimagine this classic. Apple Pie nacho's!
Stewed apples on top of crunchy sweet tortilla chips, rounded together with fluffy whipped cream.
We love this for a gathering, and it comes together a lot easier than you think.
Make you chips ahead of time and save when ready to assemble.
In a medium sauce pan, add the apples, Maximum Pie sweet blend, maple syrup and butter.
Heat over medium heat, and cover. Checking frequently to keep them from turning into apple sauce (which is also delicious, but we want some shape here). About 20 minutes. Then take off heat and leave covered from another 10 minutes.
Layer your dessert chips on a platter and evenly distribute the cooked apples all over.
If you want to top with whipped cream, now is the time! And then you can drizzle some of that sauce from the apples over top.
