Charred Garlic Scapes

Why we Love charred veggies so much, besides that it’s delicious, is how easy it is to come together. Right after you BBQ your shinning star, the protein, just place your vegetable on your already hot grill and it’s done within five minutes.

Here, all we did was toss it with olive oil and our Maple Mustard Hamonizer after it got the heat. Gotta love simplicity.

Charred Garlic Scapes

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

  • 1 tbsp Maple Mustard Hamonizer spice blend

  • Pinch of salt

  • 5-10 garlic scapes, tips trimmed off (we learned they are chewy when BBQ’d)

Directions

  1. On hot grill with a bit of flame, throw on your garlic scapes. It’s okay to overlap. Leave them for 1-2 minutes.

  2. Flip them around and leave them for another 1-2 minutes. When they start to look nice and charred a little, careful not to let them get too burnt, take them off and put them in a bowl.

  3. Combine your olive oil and Maple Mustard Hamonizer spice blend in a ramekin and drizzle until desired saturation occurs.
