Spicy Grilled Pineapple Salsa

Beat the heat with this BBQ salsa! We took it to the max with our Ghost Taco spice blend, burst of spicy heat followed by cooling acidic pineapple. A juicy combo that makes enough to keep snack from your fridge for days!

Grilling the components makes this salsa next level, but opting out of lighting the BBQ works too.

Enjoy with big ol' tortilla chips, or enjoy it as a side salsa "salad".

Spicy Grilled Pineapple Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 Pineapple, peeled and sliced into 1-inch disks

  • 1 Jalapeno

  • 1 Red Pepper

  • 1 Medium-sized Red Onion, cut in half

  • 1 Lime, cut in half

  • Ghost Taco Spice Blend, enough to cover the pineapple disks on both sides

  • Fresh Herbs, cilantro or mint (optional)

Directions

  1. Pre-heat grill pretty hot, about 450 F

  2. Add all the fruit and veg to the grill.

  3. Take off ingredients when they are ready. The jalapeno and red pepper should have a nice char to the outside. The red onion, pineapple and lime should have some grill marks and have some give. Let them cool until cool enough to handle and chop.

  4. Chop all the ingredients (except the lime) to salsa sized chucks and put into a bowl. Squeeze all the lime over it. Add chopped herbs if using.

  5. Toss it all nice and tossy.

  6. Eat it. Good with corn chips, beside meat and in tacos.
